Microfluidic Sperm Sorting Chips

More than 70 million couples worldwide cannot reproduce naturally and have to go through Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). With an increasing rate of male infertility due to environmental and physiological conditions, there is an ever-growing need for the use of ARTs in reproductive clinics. Isolation of the motile and morphologically normal viable sperm is an integral process to commonly used IVF/ICSI/IUI procedures.

Microfluidic sperm sorting (MFSS) chips– FERTILE ®, FERTILE Plus®, FERTILE Ultimate®, are used in ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) namely IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), IUI (Intra-Uterine Insemination) and ICSI (IntraCytoplasmic Sperm Injection).

FERTILE ®, FERTILE Plus® and FERTILE Ultimate® are designed for sorting sperms which have better morphology and better genetic and physiologic quality from other dead or immature sperms without using sperm damaging techniques (like centrifuge or mixing with pipette) in every assisted reproductive technology, andrology or embryology laboratory.

Microfluidic sperm sorting (MFSS) provides a better process for sperm washing, swimming and gradient centrifuging, making these processes with less time and stage demanding. It also sorts sperms with best DNA and physiological quality.
